DISTANCE......

Two worlds I make,

two worlds it takes,

to keep me alive,





I become life,

I become longing,

I become wait,



I become evil,

I become a curse

when I seperate,



I become divine,

when meeting eyes shine,

and memories grow dearer!



I am 'distance',

I breathe....

I am the space between...

being and not being!

I don't want to open my eye,

moments are trapped into my mind,

I wonder if they would escape,

I hold on to every sight.

life will again sigh,

trying to hold on to time....

In the sunshine of the day,
measuring our journeys,
we did meet on the way,
Life laughed a little,
Chuckled at the hour,
I looked towards you,
bedazzled by your spark,
the hour changed into days....
days into weeks....
I stood there dazed,
absorbing your creed,
And then we luaghed together,
learnt and played....
of glory,of past,of future
we talked all the way....
As I was setting in my comfort...
Time was ticking by...
We didnot notice when ,
it was time to say good bye...

It was time for you to tread,
On the roads less known and wide...
It was time for me to travel,
live the rickety ride...

But once did our paths cross,
once did the days smile,
Lord! oh Lord!the intersection...was truly divine!

I stand here observig
as time takes us far,
A memory I will bear,
In a waiting heart.....
